Yes!

Ladd Library has an easy-to-use KIC Click Overhead Book scanner located among the Paw Print printers on the main floor.  Ask the computer Help Desk for a quick demo to get you started.

The KIC Click is a "face up" color scanner that accommodates source material up to 16 X 22 inches.

Rapid optical character recognition (OCR) creates searchable PDF files.

Text to Speech functionality supports output to MP3 audio files.

Files can be exported easily to:

  • Thumb drive
  • Cloud storage (Google Drive, iCloud, DropBox, OneDrive, Amazon Cloud Drive, Box)
  • Smart phones and tablets via an on demand open WiFi connection

Looking for a traditional flatbed scanner?

There are public flatbed scanners available across the terrace in the lobby of the Imaging Center (Coram Library).
