If the item is currently checked out putting it on hold for you will not get it back very quickly.  We recommend requesting it from another library instead.  The instructions for getting an item from another library can be found here.

 

If you don't mind waiting and just want to be next in line, you can place a hold the same way you'd request an item from Bowdoin or Colby.  The specific instructions are here.

 

Please be aware that we do not allow Bates patrons to place holds on Bates-owned books that are available in the Bates Bookstacks, but we are happy to assist you finding the call number and locating the book in the stacks.
